Early morning I and my hubby go for a walk on a road that has fields on both sides. This is the month of March and the harvest time is almost nearing.
The morning mist is still there. The fields are surrounded by palm trees.
There are wild flowers adding to the beauty of the fields. The botanical name of this plant is Calotropis procera and in Telugu it is known as Jilledi. The flowers with leaves are kept on the forehead as cure for headache by the villagers.
For the first time I am seeing pink colour flowers on this species of Acacia plant. Usually we see while colour flowers.
The sun has rises and I can see half ripe paddy fields.
The plants have bent down due to the weight of the grains.
The threshing is done in some parts. Can you spot a bird.
There are ponds in-between fields surrounded by coconut trees. Wild ducks come for fish.
Wow Lotus, our national flower.
Look at the leaf of Lotus floating in the pond.
This is bright colored flowers of Lantana plant. If you touch it, the smell will turn you away.
More wild flowers
Look at the farmer on his bullock cart carrying manure for his fields.
This is my village Chittipalem as seen through the fields.
The farm hands returning home after a hard days work.
Rampu I am happy that you have liked my blog. In fact I invite all my sulekha friends to visit my village where we have a house with bare necessities and my very friendly co-sisters who can cook aunthentic Andhra meals for you. All the farm houses of the cities look insignificant compared to my village house where we have wonderful vacation atleast twice a year
